What We Do
The work of PHII is concentrated in three areas of emphasis: business process analysis, technical assistance and workforce development. Within each area, PHII works on a variety of projects, funded by both private foundations and government institutions. We collaborate on these projects with public health practitioners, associations and subject matter experts to both meet the goals of our funders and advance our mission of improving the use of information to achieve better public health outcomes.
Business process analysis
PHII strengthens public health systems by documenting work processes, identifying areas of improvement, and defining the requirements that outline how information systems should support that work.
Technical assistance
PHII offers technical assistance services to health practitioners in order to strengthen their ability to apply information effectively and improve health outcomes worldwide.
Workforce development
PHII supports workforce development through skill-building and applied informatics training.
